The Redding Model 3 Powder Measure is a great powder measure for any reloader. The micrometer metering chamber is easy to read and located very conveniently in the front of the measure for easy adjustments. The micrometer feature allows reloaders to record their favorite settings for quick reference and set-up when switching between loads. The cast iron from, hand honed fit between the frame and surface drum allows easy metering and cutting of even the most stubborn powders. The included bench-front mounting bracket and see-thru drop tube give the reloader a way to mount the measure to their bench and allow them to see that all of the powder has been dispensed.

The Redding Competition BR-30 Powder Measure is truly a competition powder measure with some very special features. The drum and micrometer design limits the overall charging range from a low of 10 grains to a maximum of approximately 50 grains. It is designed specifically for competition shooters and reloaders whose loading requirements are between this range. The powder measure features a redesigned drum and micrometer. The metering plunger has a new shape to alleviate irregular powder settling and to enhance uniformity. Bench-front mounting bracket included. Pictured with optional stand and bench clamp (not included – sold separately).

For years many manufacturers have taken the approach that one powder measure would do everything. It is a fact that any volumetric measuring device carries a sweet spot that is relative to the dimensions of its metering chamber.  The greatest precision and repeatability is found within this sweet spot, with an increasing level of consistency degradation happening as charge weights move farther out of its range. Broad range measures are good throughout their range and great at points.  Good has never been enough for Redding and while offering two highly recognized broad range powder measures, Redding began building specialized measures for a variety for shooting disciplines and cartridge types over a decade ago beginning with the BR-30, Competition 10x and more recently the LR-1000.

In that tradition the Competition PR-50 was engineered with a sweet spot from approximately 35 to 75 grains of most powders. This new measure completes the grouping with a total of four distinct powder measures, each optimized for incredible precision within a given range of charge weights. Beyond and efficient metering chamber design, consistent charges are assured by a precision ground drum, a honed metering chamber and a unique hemispherical micrometer adjustable plunger, which virtually eliminates powder voids caused when using long grain powders. The micrometer is designed to reduce backlash in its travel making for easily repeatable charge weights as well.

The Redding Competition LR-1000 Long Range Powder Measure is designed to be a dedicated “out-of-the-box” match ready powder measure for the long range precision shooter. Recent advances and popularity of high capacity cartridge cases like the 50  505 Gibbs 416 Barrett 408 CheyTac 338 Lapua Magnum 338 Edge 338 Remington Ultra Magnum and similar wildcats for ultra long range shooting. This measure was built just for throwing large charges with great consistency. It features all of the same great features of Redding Match-Grade and Competition powder measures with the proven hemispherical metering chamber of the BR-30 to produce consistent powder charges up to 140 grains. The Hornady Bench Rest Powder Measure is designed to meet the accuracy needs of the most demanding reloader. The Bench Rest Powder Measure has all of the advantages of the Lock-N-Load technology with the added benefit of more precise measuring. The micrometer adjustable metering insert and smaller metering chamber (5 to 65 grains charging capacity), allow you to dial in a precise charge that will be more uniform and consistent. All moving parts are plated for long life, and the rotor requires no lubrication. An optional drain tube insert (sold separately) allows you to rapidly drain the powder. Mounting plate is included. Powder measure stand is sold separately.
