• NovX Engagement Extreme Self-Defense Ammunition 380 ACP +P 56 Grain Fluted Lead Free Box of 20

NovX Engagement Extreme Self-Defense Ammunition 380 ACP +P 56 Grain Fluted Lead Free Box of 20

Law enforcement, tactical professionals, and those seeking the highest level of performance for self-defense will find the patent-pending combination of the NovX stainless steel case and poly/copper matrix projective delivers more power, more velocity, greater accuracy, less recoil, and more devastating terminal performance than ever thought possible.

Even the heaviest clothing barriers have no effect on the terminal performance of the fluted projectile. The projectile penetrates straight until it encounters soft tissue. Upon entering soft tissue, the specially designed grooves in the nose harness the soft tissue and constrict, pressurize and eject it at 1.5 to 2 times the directional speed of the bullet.  This is the well-known Venturi Effect.  As the bullet penetrates it tumbles in a controlled, predictable fashion that delivers very consistent terminal performance that equals or exceeds conventional hollow point designs.

The NovX SST NAS3 Stainless Steel shell casing is paired to a primer pocket constructed of 7078 hardened aircraft quality aluminum plated with nickel. The NAS3 stainless steel casing, far superior to extruded brass, provides strength, weight, dimension and alignment. For shooters this means unparalleled power, higher velocity, greater efficiency, cycling, and accuracy, reduced weight, reduced bore fouling and corrosion.

    Features

    • Fluted poly/copper projectile creates massive wound channels
    • Stainless steel casing provides strength, power, alignment, and less weight
    • Flies fast, flat, accurate, and with less recoil for smoother target reacquisition
    • Reduced bore fouling and corrosion
    • Magnetic

Each bullet is hand-inspected and burnished to a bright finish. All of Underwood Ammo rounds utilize flash suppressed powder so that your vision will not be compromised if it becomes necessary to use your firearm in low light.

The Underwood nickel plating process provides several key benefits including; improved feeding in all actions of firearms, enhanced corrosion resistance over traditional brass, improved cosmetics, and ease of cleanup during reloading. Nickel plated casings will not tarnish like brass during storage or when in contact with foreign materials such as leather, moisture, and other metals. Until the development of the Ducta-Bright 7a process, nickel plating casings often limited the number of reloads as compared to raw brass. It was claimed that nickel plated brass casings embrittled the brass therefor making it less desirable for reloaders despite the ease of cleanup that nickel plating offers. In addition, ammunition engineers raising concerns of using nickel plating in very hot +P or magnum loads found that traditional nickel plating often cracked deep-drawn cases, or worse, lead to a total failure. This new process eliminates any concern, to the shooter or reloader, of hazard or ability to re-use the brass.

  • Starline Brass 9mm Luger +P

    Starline Brass 9mm Luger +P

Starline Brass prides itself on producing the highest quality brass case available. Their brass is comprised of 70% copper and 30% zinc and is vertically drawn during the manufacturing process which results in more uniform wall thickness. Cases are annealed between each draw to ensure consistent metallurgy in all lots. Each brass case is hand inspected to guarantee the highest quality possible.

Starline Brass is located in Sedalia, MO and has been in business for over 30 years. Trust Starline for your next reloads, you won’t be disappointed. New, unprimed brass. This is not loaded ammunition. Bulk brass should be full-length sized, trimmed and chamfered before loading.

Brass Preparation: With bulk rifle brass you may sometimes notice a few case mouths are “out of round” or slightly dented below the shoulder.  These imperfections occur in the final tumbling wash operation after the case mouth has been annealed.  Brass manufacturers are aware of the case cosmetics and have worked to mitigate it, but due to equipment design, denting may still occur.  Minor dents are normally removed in the first firing and will not affect case life or performance.  On non-plated brass, you may also notice all the anneal stain might not be polished off, which may give the case neck a pinkish color.  With some smaller caliber cases you may notice the case mouths to be slightly belled.

With all new rifle brass, you should first straighten out the case and case mouth, then chamfer and debur the case mouth inside and out.  To straighten the case mouth, run the case part way into the sizer die and let the expander ball straighten the brass.  To prevent the case neck from stretching, be sure to lubricate the case neck inside the case mouth.

If you are using Nickel plated brass, special care must be taken to lubricate the cases prior to sizing them.  Nickel plating is harder than brass and the cases require more effort in sizing.  In the event a case becomes stuck, purchase a stuck case remover; don’t use pliers, screwdrivers or other common household tools which could damage your sizing die.
