The CX (Copper alloy eXpanding) bullet from Hornady represents the most advanced monolithic hunting bullet on the market. Its optimized design offers extended range performance, greater accuracy, high weight retention, and deep penetration. One-piece copper alloy won’t separate and delivers devastating terminal performance, deep penetration, and 95% weight retention. The Heat Shield® Tip is made of a heat resistant polymer that resists aerodynamic heating and provides a consistently high BC for the bullet’s entire flight path. The Heat Shield® tip also gives the bullet a perfect meplat (tip) for bullet-to-bullet and lot-to-lot consistency. The grooves on the CX bullet maximize aerodynamic performance while effectively reducing bearing surface and fouling. Fully California compatible and appropriate for use in other areas that require nontraditional bullets, CX provides a great option for everything from medium-size to large game.

  • HSM Trophy Gold Ammunition 300 Weatherby Magnum 185 Grain Berger Hunting VLD Hollow Point Boat Tail Box of 20

HSM Trophy Gold Ammunition 300 Weatherby Magnum 185 Grain Berger Hunting VLD Hollow Point Boat Tail Box of 20

HSM has become known as one of the top ammunition manufacturers in the country. HSM utilizes the highest quality components to offer extremely consistent, accurate, and high performing ammunition to shooters, hunters, and law enforcement.

The Berger Hunting bullet line features Very Low Drag (VLD) bullets that have the highest possible ballistic coefficient designed for 300 yards or more. The VLD design incorporates a sharp nose that allows the bullet to penetrate 2″ to 3″ before it starts to expand. After the initial expansion, the bullet will shed between 40% and 85% of its weight as shrapnel into the surrounding tissue (internal organs).

The combination between the shrapnel and the hydrostatic shock produces a massive wound cavity within the vital area that will be 13″ – 15″ long. This massive wound cavity results in the animal dropping fast since most go into shock after such a tremendous blow.

  • Black Hills Ammunition 5.56x45mm NATO 70 Grain Hornady GMX Hollow Point Boat Tail Lead-Free Box of 50

Black Hills Ammunition 5.56x45mm NATO 70 Grain Hornady GMX Hollow Point Boat Tail Lead-Free Box of 50

Black Hills produces factory new rifle ammunition equal to some of the best handloads. It is quickly becoming one of most popular manufacturers of ammunition. Used primarily by all branches of the United State military, this ammunition is also used by competitive shooters and hunters.

Hard-hitting and deep-penetrating, the Hornady GMX bullet combines monolithic construction with pioneering ballistic design to meet the need for a premium, non-traditional bullet. The mono-metal design of the GMX bullet is crafted from a copper alloy. Harder than solid copper, the copper/zinc alloy has been proven to shoot cleaner, foul less, and deliver consistent, even pressure curves. The tough alloy material routinely retains 95% or more of its original weight and expands up to 1.5 times its original diameter. Featuring a long, sleek profile with cannelures, the design reduces the bullet’s overall bearing surface and drag, while achieving some of the highest ballistic coefficients from monolithic, non-traditional bullets. Fully California compatible and appropriate for use in other areas requiring the use of non-traditional bullets, GMX is ideal for any sized game, from antelope to moose. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

This ammunition is loaded with Lake City brass that has undergone factory annealing which extends brass life. As a result of the annealing process the neck portion of the brass may be discolored until the case is cleaned.

  • Norma Brass Shooters Pack 300 Weatherby Magnum Box of 50

Norma Brass Shooters Pack 300 Weatherby Magnum Box of 50

Norma Shooter’s Pack brass is packaged by Norma in convenient quantities. Norma USA Brass is world renowned as being the absolute highest quality brass available. These cases start off with the best possible raw materials with the narrowest tolerances. The case necks are annealed to soften the brass and prevent gas leaks the case body is at the optimum hardness to avoid any unnecessary stretching. New, unprimed brass that features chamfered and deburred case mouths and a punched flash hole (magnum calibers are drilled). These cases should be sized before loading. This is not loaded ammunition.

Brass Preparation: With bulk rifle brass you may sometimes notice a few case mouths are “out of round” or slightly dented below the shoulder.  These imperfections occur in the final tumbling wash operation after the case mouth has been annealed.  Brass manufacturers are aware of the case cosmetics and have worked to mitigate it, but due to equipment design, denting may still occur.  Minor dents are normally removed in the first firing and will not affect case life or performance.  On non-plated brass, you may also notice all the anneal stain might not be polished off, which may give the case neck a pinkish color.  With some smaller caliber cases you may notice the case mouths to be slightly belled.

With all new rifle brass, you should first straighten out the case and case mouth, then chamfer and debur the case mouth inside and out.  To straighten the case mouth, run the case part way into the sizer die and let the expander ball straighten the brass.  To prevent the case neck from stretching, be sure to lubricate the case neck inside the case mouth.

  • Buffalo Bore Dangerous Game Ammunition 500 S&W Magnum 400 Grain Lehigh Mono-Metal Lead-Free Box of 20

Buffalo Bore Dangerous Game Ammunition 500 S&W Magnum 400 Grain Lehigh Mono-Metal Lead-Free Box of 20

Buffalo Bore Dangerous Game ammunition is a line of mono-metal,  non-expanding, dangerous game loads. These “Dangerous Game” (DG) loads are super high quality, very powerful, and will live up to their namesake. Mono-metal bullets have a few advantages (a couple of disadvantages too) over typical non-expanding hard cast bullets. These advantages may or may not be meaningful to each individual, depending on your usage. The advantages are that they are cleaner burning/firing than hard cast bullets. Also, hard cast bullets can smear their nose profile when they hit large bones at close range/high velocity. When the flat nose smears and changes shape, it can impact straight line penetration. The disadvantages are cost and case capacity issues, mono-metal bullets made of copper or brass alloys are lightweight for their length.

Buffalo Bore loads their ammunition with the highest quality components available to maximize the performance of the ammunition. This ammunition is safe to use in all modern firearms that are in proper working condition. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.
