  • Buffalo Bore Dangerous Game Ammunition 480 Ruger 330 Grain Lehigh Mono-Metal Lead-Free Box of 20

Buffalo Bore Dangerous Game Ammunition 480 Ruger 330 Grain Lehigh Mono-Metal Lead-Free Box of 20

Buffalo Bore Dangerous Game ammunition is a line of mono-metal,  non-expanding, dangerous game loads. These “Dangerous Game” (DG) loads are super high quality, very powerful, and will live up to their namesake. Mono-metal bullets have a few advantages (a couple of disadvantages too) over typical non-expanding hard cast bullets. These advantages may or may not be meaningful to each individual, depending on your usage. The advantages are that they are cleaner burning/firing than hard cast bullets. Also, hard cast bullets can smear their nose profile when they hit large bones at close range/high velocity. When the flat nose smears and changes shape, it can impact straight line penetration. The disadvantages are cost and case capacity issues, mono-metal bullets made of copper or brass alloys are lightweight for their length.

Buffalo Bore loads their ammunition with the highest quality components available to maximize the performance of the ammunition. This ammunition is safe to use in all modern firearms that are in proper working condition. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

    IMR Blue™ (Copy)

    This product has been discontinued.

IMR Blue is one of a new IMR family of powders that have comparable burn speeds to competitor powders. This new IMR family uses new, modern technology to ensure the product is “green,” burns clean and, in most cases, results in more energy from each grain of powder. IMR powders are consistent in bulk densities from lot to lot, eliminating some of the variability inherent in other competitors.

With the slowest burn speed of the new IMR family, IMR Blue is a true magnum propellant yielding outstanding performance in 12-gauge shotshells. Ideal burn speed for ”back fence games” where 1-1⁄4- and 1-3/8-oz. loads are the norm. Data for 10-gauge, 16-gauge and 20- gauge also available, providing true magnum velocities and performance.

For shotshell usage, powder densities are similar to competitor data. Most shotshell data is similar, but IMR recommends always consulting www.IMRReloading.com for the correct, up-to-date data and bushing charts. For pistol usage, pistol data is materially different from competitor data with lower charge weights and higher velocities at maximum pressures. IMR recommends always consulting www.IMRReloading.com for the correct, up-to-date data.

  • Lapua Brass 6mm Norma BR (Bench Rest) Box of 100

Lapua Brass 6mm Norma BR (Bench Rest) Box of 100

Lapua World-class brass begins with high-quality raw materials and superior smelting and metallurgical competence. Throughout the production process, the focus on quality control is consistent with Lapua’s exacting standards. Particular attention is paid to hardness, solidity and grain structure. All Lapua brass is tested to 30% overpressure according to Commission Internationale Permanente, the agency that oversees ammunition and component producers in Western Europe. This is not loaded ammunition.

Brass Preparation: With bulk rifle brass you may sometimes notice a few case mouths are “out of round” or slightly dented below the shoulder.  These imperfections occur in the final tumbling wash operation after the case mouth has been annealed.  Brass manufacturers are aware of the case cosmetics and have worked to mitigate it, but due to equipment design, denting may still occur.  Minor dents are normally removed in the first firing and will not affect case life or performance.  On non-plated brass, you may also notice all the anneal stain might not be polished off, which may give the case neck a pinkish color.  With some smaller caliber cases you may notice the case mouths to be slightly belled.

With all new rifle brass, you should first straighten out the case and case mouth, then chamfer and debur the case mouth inside and out.  To straighten the case mouth, run the case part way into the sizer die and let the expander ball straighten the brass.  To prevent the case neck from stretching, be sure to lubricate the case neck inside the case mouth.
